HAWC FAST Camp
Camp Director:
Curtis Loontjer, Program
Operations Director at HAWC Community & Fitness. Curtis is a
graduate of Concordia University, where he competed in collegiate
sports for four years. He was part of a LMC Basketball Conference
Championship Team. His last year as a student was spent as an
assistant women’s basketball coach. Curtis was head of the
pre-season conditioning for the women’s basketball team. He now
brings his knowledge of the technique of running with the
fundamentals, skills and hard work to the HAWC’s Summer Fast Camp.
With a few years under his belt with HAWC's FAST Camp, Curtis plans
on
Campers will be Tested in:
40 meter Dash
20 meter Shuttle
Speed Dot Drill
Vertical
Campers will learn:
-Techniques
to improve running form and running speed
-Skills to improve hand and feet quickness
-Proper use of plyometrics to enhance speed and explosiveness
-Balance training
-Mental aspect for competing in sports

Project KIND
Project KIND stands for
Kids in need
of dentistry. It was created through a partnership between
several area agencies and volunteer dentists. Eligible children must
reside within the City of Watertown or Jefferson County, under age
18, in need of emergency dental care, uninsured or on Medical
Assistance. To apply for Project KIND, please ask for an application
at the Watertown Health Department. Children are screened once a
month and those in need will be referred to an area dentist for
treatment. For additional questions, please call 920-262-8555.
 Birthday Parties!
Is your child's birthday approaching? Make your next
party a "piece of cake" by holding it at HAWC Community & Fitness!
HAWC Parties have a variety of themes, activities, and crafts
available. Birthday parties last two hours. Your party includes an
hour of activities, an hour in a decorated party room for present
opening and cake, staff assistance, set-up, clean-up and a surprise
gift.
Fees: HAWC Members...$55.00
Community Participants...$70.00
Above prices are for parties up to 15 children for ages 5-12. Additional children
attending parties are $3.00 per child.
